The indie rockband PEER from Middelburg performed on many big festivals, won numerous competitions and received glowing reviews. On stage the chemistry between the four band members is highly noticeable.
The story of PEER started in 2014, with winning the Buma Music Academy Award and several regional competitions. The year after the band started releasing music. At the same time PEER started growing as a live band.
At the start of 2017 the band released its single I Don’t Wanna and announced their debut EP Mad For It, produced by Huub Reijnders and BLØF bassist Peter Slager. The EP was released in the spring of 2017 and includes seven powerful, energetic songs with choruses you can’t get out of your head for at least a week.
The release immediately created a buzz in the media and the band played a lot of festivals in the following summer. For the official video for the single Emily the band to its favorite city Liverpool, where they played earlier that year in the well-known Cavern Club.
Shortly after the band was invited to perform at Dutch Daily talk show de Wereld Draait Door and an extensive tour followed. The band also went touring with de Popronde for the second year in a row and was chosen NPO 3FM KX Radio Talent. Several live performances on national radio stations NPO Radio 2, NPO Radio 3FM, NPO 3FM KX Radio followed. And to top it all, they were invited to play at India’s biggest cultural festival Mood Indigo, where they were welcomed by an extremely excited audience.
PEER is currently working on new material, which they will preview during their upcoming tour.
