Once signed to Verve Records at age 14, Kim Hoorweg has made five albums in the last 10 years. The albums feature collaborations with Trijntje Oosterhuis, Candy Dulfer, Benjamin Herman, Robin Nolan and Chance Howard (Prince). She has also shared the stage with Gino Vanelli, the Metropole Orchestra and she played at the famous North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam.
For her latest album Kim worked closely with Raul Midón. The American singer/guitarist provided backing vocals and guitar and is accompanied on the record by more soul and jazz greats like Anton Goudsmit, Joost Kroon, Niels Broos, Glenn Gaddum Jr., Shirma Rouse, Sarah-Jane and Laise Sanches. The result is a fresh jazz album with hints of indie and pop.
The new album will be released in the fall of 2017. As of now Kim Hoorweg is available for bookings at Dox Live (also in combination with Robin Nolan Trio).
